Writs query #74167
Hey guys

I have a query.... I have not really done writs much on low level characters, hence the question. Daily provisioning 50 writs on my VR characters always require me to deliver to Craglorn. I have a level 20 character though that is almost at lvl 50 provisioning. If I do a lvl 50 writ on that lvl 20 character will he be required to also deliver to craglorn? Or will it ask me to deliver to somewhere that I can actually get to?

Just wondered if anyone knew

Cheers!

I'm not 100% sure about provisioning writs, but two of my crafters were lvl50 (clothing and blacksmithing) and although they had the passives to create vr14 gear, the writs only asked them to create gear with the lowest vr mats (Calcinium and the other one). They were only ever asked to deliver to Coldharbour until my clothier had finished the main story and progressed onto Cadwells silver, then he had to deliver to Craglorn and use the top vr mat.

I've got several low level alts that have high crafting profession levels in consumables and the writs seem based on a couple of thing, but to cut it short: even if you have a skill level higher than the area you pick up the writ in, you will be asked to deliver to that areas delivery zone. It will be based on that areas materials as well though if I'm not remembering wrong. There are some bugs with this though: alchemy and enchanting in Eastmarch and Rift sends you to the wrong area.

hmmm, seems that its bugged or not working as intended then. My understanding was that the writ is based on your craft level, not on your character level (which is why i was asking regarding where it has to be delivered).

Could be i am wrong, I will experiment though over the weekend and see. Thanks for the replies guys

Perhaps not exactly the same situation, but my Provisioner (50 with "all boxes full") could not get the highest level crafting writs until i had started that Stargazer quest in Craglorn by travelling there from Mournhold using "the cart". Before i hit VR i could neither travel to player or use the cart to reach Craglorn, and i could only get to craft lvl.40 foodies which were to be returned in Eastmarch. I did travel to player in Craglorn as soon as i hit VR1, but that wasn't enough to get the highest lvl writs - i had to start other quest there first....if it's because i was supposed to be in Craglorn "officially" first or if it just bugged out i don't know.

EDIT: Before VR i could craft highest level writ but not hand it in, deleted it and next day i got the lvl40 one, which kept on coming until i finally could reach Craglorn.

every lvl has it's own zone to deliver to. The max lvl area is crag, below that the rift etc.
so it;s not looking at char lvl but pure at the lvl of the craft.

I have to agree with Pema...

My main crafting character hasn't killed Molag Bal yet, so he still cannot enter Daggerfall or Aldmeri territory, but he can (and must) deliver goods at Craglorn. If you've never been there and have no means of getting there: just ask someone in guild chat to travel to Craglorn (city is Belkarth I believe). Then you can travel to that player, discover the wayshrine and your set to go. Did the same thing when I needed to go to Coldharbour and didn't have a wayshrine there to travel to. Works like a charm :)

This game can be crazy buggy apparently - before i reached VR with my all maxed out Provisioner i could craft highest lvl writs but not go to Craglorn and hand stuff in - now at VR1 i can, and i was pleased to see i could return goods there...but today i picked up a new crafting writ and AGAIN got a lower level one that ordered me to craft lvl40 foodies and then go to Eastmarch to hand it in...ah the randomness...

EDIT: when i think about it - every time my maxed out Provisioner has gotten those lower level writs i've gotten some purple ingredients in reward bag, is this part of a great plan perhaps, or just coincidence?
